Why BagSafe exists
It started with a ₹10,500 bill at a Delhi check-in counter.
Our founder was flying from Delhi to Kolkata to start a new job, carrying one suitcase he believed was within the airline’s baggage limit. At the counter he was asked to pay ₹10,500 in excess baggage charges, more than double the ₹5,000 he had paid for the ticket.
There was no time to compare and no other option, so he paid. Then he started asking around and heard the same story again and again: students moving to college, families flying home for a wedding, professionals relocating for work. All of them overpaid at the airport because nobody had given them an alternative.
